As a SOC Specialist at Career.zycto, you will be on the front lines, instrumental in protecting our clients’ digital assets from sophisticated cyber threats. This pivotal role involves continuous monitoring, in-depth analysis of security events, and rapid incident response to ensure robust security posture. You will leverage advanced security information and event management (SIEM) tools, threat intelligence, and your expert analytical skills to detect, investigate, and mitigate security incidents effectively. If you are passionate about cybersecurity, thrive in a challenging environment, and are eager to contribute to a secure digital world, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform continuous monitoring and analysis of security events from various security tools (SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls) to detect potential security incidents.
  • Conduct initial triage, investigation, and escalation of security alerts, determining the severity and potential impact on systems and data.
  • Execute incident response procedures, including containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident analysis.
  • Develop and refine SIEM rules, dashboards, and reports to enhance threat detection capabilities and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal IT teams and external partners to implement security controls and improve overall security posture.
  • Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to inform proactive defense strategies.
  • Document security incidents, investigations, and processes thoroughly for compliance and continuous improvement.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment or similar cybersecurity role.
  • Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, IBM QRadar) for security event monitoring and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and network security principles.
  • Familiarity with common operating systems (Windows Server, Linux) and their security implications.
  • Experience with incident response methodologies and forensic investigation techniques.
  • Knowledge of common attack vectors, malware types, and threat intelligence frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CEH, GCIH, or equivalent.
  • Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and analysis.
  • Understanding of compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR).

Perks & Benefits

  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
  • Hybrid work model offering flexibility and a healthy work-life balance.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Generous paid time off and public holidays.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Opportunities for continuous professional development and industry certifications.
  • A collaborative and supportive team environment focused on innovation.
