Job Description
We are seeking a highly creative, self-motivated, and dynamic Social Media Content Creator to join our innovative marketing team. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute creative content strategies tailored for various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube).
- Create engaging visual content including graphics, photos, and short videos, using appropriate editing tools.
- Write compelling and grammatically correct captions, headlines, and calls-to-action that drive interaction.
- Schedule and publish content across all designated social media channels, ensuring optimal timing and consistency.
- Monitor social media trends, tools, and applications, and recommend new strategies and approaches.
- Engage with our online community by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and brand-appropriate manner.
- Analyze social media performance data, generate reports, and provide insights to inform future content strategies.
- Collaborate with marketing, product development, and sales teams to ensure content aligns with ongoing campaigns and product launches.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
- Manage and maintain a content calendar to ensure a consistent flow of fresh and relevant material.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Social Media Content Creator or similar role (minimum 2 years).
- Strong portfolio showcasing engaging content across various social media platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Kinyarwanda.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Basic video editing skills (e.g., CapCut, InShot, Adobe Premiere Rush).
- Solid understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices.
- Ability to analyze social media metrics and adapt strategies based on performance.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creativity, attention to detail, and an eye for aesthetics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer).
- Photography and videography skills.
- Familiarity with SEO principles and content optimization.
- Experience working in the food and beverage industry or a consumer goods brand.
- Ability to speak French is a plus.
