Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive social care assessments for individuals and families.
- Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans to meet identified needs and achieve positive outcomes.
- Provide direct support, advice, and advocacy to service users, ensuring their voices are heard and rights upheld.
- Manage a diverse caseload, prioritising effectively and responding to urgent situations.
- Collaborate with multi-agency partners, including health, education, and third-sector organisations, to ensure coordinated support.
- Undertake safeguarding enquiries and interventions to protect vulnerable children and adults from harm.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential records in accordance with professional standards and organisational policies.
- Participate in regular supervision, team meetings, and professional development activities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of services and adherence to relevant legislation and best practice guidelines.
Required Skills
- Recognised Social Work qualification (e.g., BA, MA in Social Work or DipSW).
- Current registration with Social Work England (or eligible for registration).
- Proven experience in social work practice, ideally within a statutory setting.
- Excellent assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities.
- Demonstrable understanding of relevant social care legislation and safeguarding policies.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
