Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Software Integration Engineer to join our dynamic team in Boston Spa, Leeds. This pivotal role involves designing, developing, and implementing robust integration solutions that connect disparate software systems, ensuring seamless data flow and operational efficiency for our clients. As a Software Integration Engineer, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between various platforms, applications, and databases, enabling our clients to achieve their strategic objectives through cohesive technological ecosystems.

Your primary focus will be on understanding complex business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and subsequently building, testing, and deploying integration components. This encompasses everything from API development and management to message queue implementation, data mapping, and transformation services. You will work closely with software developers, system architects, project managers, and end-users to ensure that integration solutions are not only technically sound but also align perfectly with business needs and performance expectations. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy software integration solutions using various technologies and platforms.
  • Analyze existing systems and interfaces to understand data flows and integration points.
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, and business analysts to define integration requirements and specifications.
  • Implement APIs, web services, and message queues for real-time and batch processing.
  • Perform data mapping, transformation, and validation to ensure data integrity across integrated systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, providing timely support and maintenance.
  • Document integration designs, technical specifications, and operational procedures.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Stay updated with emerging integration technologies and methodologies.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our integration framework and development processes.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#).
  • Strong experience with API design, development, and management (RESTful, SOAP).
  • Solid understanding of integration patterns and protocols (e.g., ESB, ETL, Message Queues).
  • Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and data manipulation.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native integration services.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
