Key Responsibilities
- Assist in executing manual test cases based on defined test plans and requirements.
- Document and report software defects, anomalies, and issues clearly and concisely using issue tracking systems.
- Perform re-testing of fixed defects to ensure resolutions are effective and do not introduce new issues.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of test documentation, including test cases and test data.
- Collaborate effectively with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Provide regular updates on testing progress and defect status to the QA Lead.
- Participate in team meetings, offering insights and learning from collective experiences.
- Support the QA team in various tasks as needed to ensure product quality and timely delivery.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing concepts.
- Proficiency in using common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).
- Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for technology and software quality.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completed or pursuing a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Any prior experience with bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps) or test management tools.
- Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) or database concepts.
