Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and non-functional requirements.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies using appropriate tracking tools.
- Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, usability, and performance testing for web applications and internal systems.
- Collaborate closely with the IT development team to understand project requirements and provide feedback on design and functionality.
- Verify bug fixes and ensure that defects are resolved without introducing new issues.
- Provide clear and concise reports on testing progress, defect status, and overall quality of the software.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing processes and methodologies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in software quality assurance or testing roles.
- Familiarity with different testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, dynamic team.
- Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS) and database concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent.
- Experience testing hospitality or e-commerce systems.
- Familiarity with automated testing tools.
- Knowledge of other local languages (e.g., Creole).
