Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on various roof types and ground mounts.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and instructions to determine installation specifications.
- Assemble and install solar modules, inverters, batteries, and other balance of system components.
- Perform electrical wiring of solar arrays, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
- Conduct site assessments to determine optimal panel placement and identify potential hazards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system malfunctions or performance issues.
- Ensure all installations meet quality standards, local building codes, and client requirements.
- Educate clients on system operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and system configurations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in solar PV system installation and maintenance.
- Strong understanding of electrical principles and wiring techniques.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
