Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain a wide range of audio equipment including mixing consoles, microphones, speakers, and recording devices.
  • Perform sound checks, system calibration, and troubleshoot technical issues proactively during live events and studio sessions.
  • Mix and master audio for various applications, ensuring optimal sound quality and adherence to project specifications.
  • Collaborate with artists, producers, and event organizers to understand their audio requirements and deliver desired sonic results.
  • Set up, dismantle, and transport audio equipment safely and efficiently to different locations.
  • Monitor sound levels, acoustic environments, and make real-time adjustments to ensure consistent and high-quality audio output.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to performers and presenters regarding microphone usage and stage monitoring.
  • Assist in post-production audio editing, mixing, and sound design as required for recorded content.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a Sound Engineer or Audio Technician.
  • Proficiency with digital and analog mixing consoles (e.g., Yamaha, Behringer, Midas, AVID).
  • Strong understanding of acoustics, signal flow, gain staging, and audio processing techniques.
  • Expertise in microphone selection, placement, and application for various instruments and vocals.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex audio system issues quickly and effectively.
  • Familiarity with PA systems, monitors, and in-ear monitoring systems.
  • Excellent ear for detail and a strong sense of musicality and dynamics.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
  • Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal education or certification in Audio Engineering, Music Production, or a related field.
  • Experience with various DAW software (e.g., Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, Ableton Live) for recording and post-production.
  • Knowledge of lighting and video systems integration for live events.
  • Experience with live streaming audio setups and technologies.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to transport equipment (where applicable).
