This pivotal role involves leading the technical preparation, installation, and optimization of audio systems for a wide array of live music concerts, festivals, corporate events, and theatrical productions throughout the Yaya Centre region and beyond. You’ll be instrumental in translating artistic visions into auditory realities, ensuring every note is heard with crystal clarity and impact.

As a Sound Engineer, you will be the technical backbone of our live events, responsible for the entire audio signal chain, from microphone selection and placement to front-of-house (FOH) and monitor mixing, and ultimately, ensuring an immersive auditory experience for all attendees. This isn’t just about pressing buttons; it’s about anticipating challenges, problem-solving under pressure, and possessing an innate understanding of acoustics and audio physics. You will work closely with artists, event managers, lighting designers, and other technical crew members, fostering a collaborative atmosphere that brings large-scale productions to life. Your expertise will guarantee seamless audio operations, from the initial site visit and system design to the final breakdown, making every event a resounding success. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, possess a deep technical knowledge of professional audio equipment, and are committed to delivering exceptional sound quality, we invite you to amplify your career with us.

  • Ensure proper gain structure, signal flow, and impedance matching across all audio components.
  • Collaborate effectively with artists, stage managers, lighting technicians, and production teams.
  • Supervise and mentor junior audio technicians and stagehands during setup and breakdown.
  • Maintain, clean, and perform minor repairs on audio equipment, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and industry best practices for live event production.

  • Proficiency in network audio protocols (Dante, AVB, MADI).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work long hours, including nights and weekends.
