Key Responsibilities
- Perform professional-grade mixing of multi-track audio projects across various genres, ensuring balance, clarity, and sonic cohesion.
- Execute high-fidelity mastering for diverse audio content, optimizing for loudness, impact, and delivery across multiple platforms.
- Collaborate closely with artists, producers, and project managers to understand artistic vision and technical requirements.
- Utilize advanced audio software (DAWs like Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton Live) and hardware (consoles, outboard gear) proficiently.
- Conduct critical listening sessions and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement of audio quality.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to audio signal chains, recording equipment, and software.
- Maintain and organize audio project files, ensuring proper archival and version control.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in mixing and mastering.
- Contribute to the upkeep and calibration of studio equipment and acoustical treatment.
Required Skills
- Expert proficiency in at least one industry-standard DAW (e.g., Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, Ableton Live, Cubase).
- Demonstrable expertise in audio mixing techniques including EQ, compression, gating, reverb, delay, and effects processing.
- In-depth knowledge of audio mastering principles, including dynamic range optimization, dithering, and loudness standards (LUFS).
- Strong understanding of acoustics, psychoacoustics, and critical listening skills.
- Familiarity with various audio formats (WAV, AIFF, MP3, AAC) and their optimal use.
