Sea Cliff Resort & Spa Zanzibar is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Spa Massage Therapist to join our esteemed wellness team. Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of massage treatments including, but not limited to, Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, aromatherapy, and traditional Zanzibari massages, in accordance with spa protocols and guest preferences.
- Conduct thorough client consultations to identify specific needs, preferences, and any contraindications, ensuring a safe and personalized treatment plan.
- Maintain immaculate cleanliness and sanitation of treatment rooms, equipment, and common spa areas, adhering strictly to hygiene standards.
- Educate guests on the benefits of spa treatments and recommend suitable products for at-home care, contributing to retail sales targets.
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently and accurately, ensuring timely delivery of services and optimal guest flow.
- Actively listen to guest feedback and adapt treatments as necessary to ensure maximum client satisfaction.
- Collaborate effectively with other spa team members, receptionists, and resort staff to ensure a seamless guest journey.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and stay updated on industry best practices.
- Uphold the resort's high standards of professionalism, guest service, and ethical conduct at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Spa Massage Therapist in a luxury hotel or resort setting.
- Certified in various massage modalities (e.g., Swedish, Deep Tissue, Aromatherapy).
- Excellent knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and contraindications for massage.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a strong client-focus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Swahili or other languages is a plus.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Massage Therapy from a recognized institution.
- Additional certifications in specialized treatments (e.g., Reflexology, Shiatsu, Thai massage, specific body wraps).
