Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior coaches in planning and delivering engaging and effective training sessions for various age groups within the academy.
- Provide fundamental coaching in football techniques, tactics, and physical conditioning.
- Supervise players during training, matches, and related activities, ensuring their safety and adherence to academy rules.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivational environment that encourages player development and enjoyment.
- Help in the assessment and evaluation of player performance, identifying areas for improvement and tracking progress.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and fellow coaching staff regarding player development and academy activities.
- Assist with equipment setup and breakdown before and after training sessions.
- Promote sportsmanship, fair play, and discipline among all academy members.
- Participate in professional development workshops and coaching education programs as required.
- Uphold the values and philosophy of Portmore United F.C. at all times.
Required Skills
- Strong foundational knowledge of football rules, techniques, and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with young people.
- Demonstrated passion for sports and youth development.

- Basic first aid knowledge or willingness to obtain certification.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as per training and match schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience playing competitive football at any level.
- Current or aspiring coaching certifications (e.g., JFF D-License, C-License).
- Experience working with children or youth in a coaching, mentoring, or teaching capacity.
- Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding best practices in sport.
- A degree or diploma in Sports Management, Physical Education, or a related field.
