Polana Serena Hotel, a beacon of luxury and hospitality in Maputo, is seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-Time Sports Facility Aide to join our vibrant team. As a Sports Facility Aide, you will be an integral part of our dynamic Recreation and Wellness team, ensuring that every guest experience within our fitness center, swimming pool area, and tennis courts is nothing short of exceptional. Your daily responsibilities will span from maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and presentation across all sports facilities, including sanitizing equipment, tidying locker rooms, and ensuring pool decks are clean and safe, to actively assisting guests. This involves providing towels, explaining equipment usage, and courteously responding to inquiries or concerns. You will be responsible for setting up and taking down equipment for various activities, replenishing supplies, and performing regular checks to ensure all machinery and amenities are in excellent working order and adhere to safety protocols. A keen eye for detail is paramount, as you will report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to ensure a swift resolution and minimize disruption. Furthermore, you will help monitor facility access, ensuring only authorized guests use the amenities, and gently enforce facility rules to maintain a respectful and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across all sports facilities, including the gym, pools, locker rooms, and tennis courts.
- Sanitize equipment regularly and ensure all areas are tidy and presentable.
- Assist guests with equipment usage, provide towels, and respond to inquiries or concerns in a courteous manner.
- Monitor facility usage and enforce rules to ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for all guests.
- Perform routine checks on equipment and facilities, reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
- Set up and take down equipment for various activities as required.
- Replenish supplies such as towels, water, and locker room amenities.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations pertinent to sports and recreational facilities.
