Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting shoppers with inquiries, product selection, and purchases.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems and handle various payment methods.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor, including stocking shelves and arranging displays.
- Actively engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving shipments, performing stock counts, and resolving discrepancies.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including loss prevention and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and maintain a positive store environment.
- Support promotional activities and special events to drive customer engagement and sales.
Required Skills
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment (minimum 6 months).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic math skills and comfort handling cash transactions.
- Positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift and carry merchandise up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Knowledge of merchandising principles.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Familiarity with local Okotoks community.
