Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the store and warehouse, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods.
- Implement and enforce strict inventory control procedures, conducting regular stock counts, reconciliations, and investigating discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
- Manage warehouse layout and space utilization to maximize efficiency and accessibility, ensuring proper storage conditions for all products.
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of warehouse staff, fostering a productive and positive work environment focused on safety and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the maintenance of warehouse equipment and facilities, ensuring all machinery is in good working order and adhering to safety standards.
- Generate comprehensive reports on stock levels, incoming/outgoing shipments, and warehouse performance metrics for management review.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, health and safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., procurement, sales, logistics) to ensure smooth flow of goods and timely order fulfillment.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or inventory management, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Solid understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in inventory management or warehouse operations.
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Forklift operator certification.
