Job Description

Lasco Distributors Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and proactive Store Supervisor to oversee our warehouse control operations in Highgate, Saint Mary Parish. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the store and warehouse, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods.
  • Implement and enforce strict inventory control procedures, conducting regular stock counts, reconciliations, and investigating discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
  • Manage warehouse layout and space utilization to maximize efficiency and accessibility, ensuring proper storage conditions for all products.
  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of warehouse staff, fostering a productive and positive work environment focused on safety and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the maintenance of warehouse equipment and facilities, ensuring all machinery is in good working order and adhering to safety standards.
  • Generate comprehensive reports on stock levels, incoming/outgoing shipments, and warehouse performance metrics for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, health and safety regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., procurement, sales, logistics) to ensure smooth flow of goods and timely order fulfillment.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or inventory management, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Solid understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in inventory management or warehouse operations.
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Forklift operator certification.
