Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and accurately verify all incoming goods, supplies, and equipment against purchase orders and invoices, noting any discrepancies or damages.
  • Systematically record and update inventory data using both manual logs and computerized inventory management systems.
  • Organize and maintain all storage areas, ensuring items are properly labeled, safely stored, and easily accessible according to established procedures.
  • Issue supplies and inventory to various resort departments based on approved requisitions, maintaining meticulous documentation of all transactions.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and comprehensive periodic physical inventory checks, reconciling any discrepancies and investigating root causes.
  • Monitor stock levels diligently, identifying items requiring reorder to prevent shortages and ensuring optimal stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO).
  • Implement and enforce robust inventory control procedures to minimize waste, loss, damage, and pilferage.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene standards within all storage and receiving areas.
  • Prepare comprehensive inventory reports for management, highlighting stock movement, variances, usage trends, and recommendations.
  • Safely and efficiently operate essential material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work environment at all times.

Required Skills

  • Proven proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills for accurate stock reconciliation and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Effective time management and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Certification in Inventory Management or Supply Chain Logistics.
  • Previous experience with specific hospitality industry inventory systems.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage inventory best practices.
  • A valid driver's license.
