Job Description

Are you an organized, detail-oriented individual with a passion for efficient operations? Winners Co. Ltd is seeking a dedicated and proactive Storekeeper to join our team in Palma, Quatre Bornes. In this pivotal role, you will be the backbone of our inventory management, ensuring that our shelves are consistently stocked with fresh products and that our supply chain runs smoothly. The Storekeeper plays a critical part in maintaining optimal stock levels, preventing waste, and supporting the overall efficiency of the store. You will be responsible for the meticulous receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring accuracy in all inventory records and adherence to company standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders and invoices, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Efficiently store and organize inventory in designated areas, optimizing space utilization and accessibility.
  • Maintain accurate records of all stock movements, including receipts, transfers, and disbursements, using the company's inventory management system.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and participate in periodic physical inventories to reconcile discrepancies and ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Prepare and issue goods to various departments within the store as required, ensuring timely fulfillment of requests.
  • Monitor stock levels and report any shortages, excesses, or potential expiry dates to management.
  • Ensure the store area is clean, tidy, and compliant with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, especially for perishable goods.
  • Operate basic material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) safely and efficiently, if required.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and sales teams to facilitate smooth inventory flow and address any stock-related issues.
  • Assist in the implementation of inventory control procedures and best practices to minimize loss and optimize efficiency.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Storekeeper, Inventory Clerk, or similar role, preferably in a retail or supermarket environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including experience with inventory management software or systems.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and a commitment to accuracy in record-keeping.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Certificate (HSC) or equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge of retail inventory best practices and stock rotation principles.
  • Familiarity with HACCP or other food safety guidelines, especially for handling perishable items.
  • Experience operating a forklift or other warehouse machinery (certification preferred but not mandatory for all roles).
