This pivotal role combines the responsibilities of a Cashier and a Stock Associate, offering a diverse and engaging work experience critical to our store’s success. As a key member of our frontline team, you will be the face of Winners, ensuring every customer enjoys a seamless and pleasant shopping journey. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our store’s reputation for quality service and well-stocked shelves.

As a Cashier, you will be responsible for processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently, handling various payment methods, and providing friendly, helpful service. Your attention to detail will ensure correct pricing and bagging, while your warm demeanor will leave a lasting positive impression on our shoppers. You will be instrumental in managing your till, reconciling daily sales, and resolving customer inquiries with professionalism and a smile.

Beyond the checkout, your role as a Stock Associate will involve the vital task of maintaining optimal stock levels and presentation throughout the store. This includes receiving deliveries, carefully unpacking merchandise, organizing products on shelves, and ensuring all items are correctly priced and clearly displayed. You will be responsible for stock rotation to minimize waste, checking expiry dates, and ensuring that our aisles are always clean, tidy, and inviting. Your contribution to maintaining an orderly and well-stocked store directly impacts customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate cash register accurately and efficiently, processing all types of transactions (cash, credit/debit, mobile payments).
  • Provide exceptional customer service, greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product location.
  • Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
  • Handle customer returns and exchanges in accordance with company policy.
  • Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming merchandise for damage or discrepancies.
  • Stock shelves, rotate products, and ensure proper product placement and presentation.
  • Monitor inventory levels, report low stock, and assist with stock counts.
  • Check and remove expired or damaged products from shelves.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of aisles, stockroom, and general store areas.
  • Assist with price changes, ticketing, and promotional displays.

Required Skills

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong basic math skills and ability to handle transactions accurately.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a retail or customer service role.

  • Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
