Job Description

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Supply Chain Analyst with a focus on Logistics Planning to join our dynamic team. While our primary operations are rooted in Jamaica, this role offers a remote option, allowing a qualified candidate based in Bog Walk, Saint Catherine Parish, to work primarily from home, with occasional on-site meetings or visits to our facilities as required for strategic planning or team collaboration. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in optimizing our logistics and distribution networks, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods from production to market. You will be responsible for analyzing complex supply chain data, identifying trends, forecasting demand, and developing actionable strategies to enhance operational efficiency, reduce lead times, and improve customer satisfaction. This position requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of logistics principles, and the ability to leverage data to drive informed decision-making. Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze supply chain data, including inventory levels, production schedules, delivery times, and transportation costs, to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement logistics planning strategies to optimize inbound and outbound freight, warehousing, and distribution processes.
  • Forecast demand and supply to ensure optimal inventory levels and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics and supply chain efficiency, reporting on performance and recommending corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Procurement, Production, Sales) and external partners (e.g., carriers, suppliers) to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
  • Evaluate and select transport providers, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships to ensure cost-effectiveness and service quality.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including disruptions, delays, and capacity constraints.
  • Utilize supply chain planning software and tools to enhance visibility, accuracy, and automation of logistics processes.
  • Support the implementation of new supply chain technologies and processes.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on logistics performance and strategic initiatives for management.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 48 months (4 years) of progressive experience in supply chain analysis, logistics planning, or a similar role.
  • Proven experience with supply chain management software (e.g., ERP systems like SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, managing time and priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and a strategic mindset.
  • Understanding of international shipping regulations and customs processes (desirable for global logistics).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
  • Certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, or equivalent.
  • Experience in the beverage or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry.
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles.
  • Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS).
