Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and forecasting of inventory needs to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Coordinate and track inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring on-time delivery and efficient routing.
  • Process purchase orders, invoices, and other crucial supply chain documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively and proactively with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments regarding logistics and inventory status updates.
  • Support the prompt resolution of any supply chain discrepancies or issues, such as shipping delays, damaged goods, or order inaccuracies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all supply chain activities and data within relevant systems and databases.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of supply chain processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Assist with regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure data integrity and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on supply chain performance, including key metrics like delivery times, costs, and inventory turns.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices in all supply chain operations.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in an administrative, logistics, or supply chain support role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) for data analysis.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with an exceptional ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-centric approach.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a diverse team.
  • Familiarity with fundamental inventory management principles and supply chain concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education (diploma or degree) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Prior experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) or specialized WMS software.
  • Basic knowledge of transportation regulations, customs procedures, and international shipping documentation.
  • Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., SCMP, APICS CPIM/CSCP) is an asset.
  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
