Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Systems Administrator to join our dynamic IT team in Fürth. Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux distributions) and associated hardware.
  • Manage and optimize network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, and wireless access points.
  • Implement and maintain robust backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity.
  • Monitor system performance, security logs, and resource utilization to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls within Active Directory and other identity management systems.
  • Ensure system security by implementing patches, updates, and security best practices against vulnerabilities.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, resolving IT-related problems efficiently.
  • Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to maintain comprehensive knowledge base.
  • Participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to enhance efficiency and security.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in administering Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, 2022) and Active Directory.
  • Solid experience with Linux operating systems (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat).
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN).
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V).
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies and tools.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills in both German and English (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, LPIC, CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of IT security best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, Nagios, PRTG).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of ITIL framework and service management principles.
