Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine system maintenance, including patching, updates, and configurations for Windows Server and Linux environments.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security using various tools, identifying and resolving issues proactively to minimize downtime.
  • Manage and maintain virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V), ensuring optimal resource allocation and high availability.
  • Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core infrastructure services.
  • Implement and manage data backup and recovery solutions, ensuring data integrity and business continuity.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for complex system issues, collaborating with other IT teams and vendors as needed.
  • Plan, design, and execute the setup and deployment of new servers, hardware, software, and network infrastructure components.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to security policies, industry best practices, and compliance standards.
  • Participate in on-call rotations for critical system support outside regular business hours when required.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to improve system efficiency, reliability, and security.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in various systems.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Windows Server OS (2016, 2019, 2022) and Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS)
  • Strong experience with virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V)
  • In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
  • Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls)
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues effectively
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, MCSA, MCSE, CCNA)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework and practices
  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, Nagios)
  • Familiarity with database administration (SQL Server, MySQL)
