Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, interactive Tableau dashboards and reports.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
- Connect to various data sources (e.g., SQL databases, cloud data warehouses, flat files) and perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) as needed.
- Develop complex calculations, parameters, sets, and groups to support advanced analytical requirements.
- Optimize Tableau workbooks and data sources for performance, efficiency, and scalability.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all visualizations.
- Implement best practices for data governance, security, and access control within Tableau Server/Cloud.
- Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and enhancements to existing Tableau solutions.
- Document technical specifications, data dictionaries, and user guides.
- Stay updated with the latest Tableau features and industry trends in data visualization.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Tableau Developer.
- Expert proficiency in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Prep.
- Strong understanding of SQL and experience querying complex databases.
