Key Responsibilities
- Assist tailors and seamstresses with various garment construction tasks, including cutting, stitching, and finishing.
- Prepare fabrics for cutting, including laying out, marking, and trimming according to specifications.
- Operate and maintain basic industrial sewing machines (e.g., single-needle, overlock) safely and efficiently.
- Perform hand-sewing, pressing, and apply finishing touches on garments to ensure high-quality standards.
- Inspect finished products for quality control, identifying and rectifying minor defects or inconsistencies.
- Organize and maintain the workstation, ensuring a clean, tidy, and efficient working environment.
- Support inventory management of materials, accessories, and finished goods.
- Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines during daily operations.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of sewing techniques and garment construction.
- Proficiency in operating domestic or industrial sewing machines.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
