Key Responsibilities
- Assist tailors and seamstresses with various tasks, including pinning, marking, and cutting fabric under supervision.
- Perform basic hand and machine sewing for repairs, alterations, and finishing touches on garments.
- Prepare garments for fittings, ensuring they are clean, pressed, and ready for client interaction.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the tailoring workshop, including workstations, tools, and storage areas.
- Manage and organize inventory of fabrics, notions, and supplies, informing senior staff when replenishment is needed.
- Operate and maintain sewing machines, presses, and other tailoring equipment safely and efficiently.
- Help with steaming and pressing garments to achieve a professional finish.
- Support packaging and preparation of finished garments for client pick-up or delivery.
- Handle incoming and outgoing garments, logging details accurately as required.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company standards for quality and efficiency.
- Perform other general shop duties as assigned to ensure smooth operation.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of sewing and garment construction.
- Proficiency with hand sewing techniques.
