Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons across the primary school curriculum, including Mathematics, English, Sesotho, Science, and Social Studies.
  • Create a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Assess student progress regularly, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of achievement.
  • Differentiate instruction to cater to the diverse learning styles and needs of all students, including those with special educational needs.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting respect, discipline, and cooperation among students.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and any concerns.
  • Participate in school meetings, professional development workshops, and extracurricular activities as required.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum, share best practices, and contribute to the overall school community.
  • Prepare students for internal and national examinations, ensuring they are well-prepared and confident.
  • Uphold the school's values and policies, acting as a positive role model for students.

Required Skills

  • Proven ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans.
  • Strong classroom management and disciplinary skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Sesotho.
  • Deep understanding of primary school curriculum and pedagogical methods.
