Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct instructional support to students individually or in small groups as directed by the lead teacher.
- Assist in the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Support students with academic tasks, organization, and social-emotional development.
- Help maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Assist with classroom management strategies and behavioral interventions under teacher guidance.
- Observe and document student progress, behavior, and needs, reporting findings to the lead teacher.
- Support students with personal care needs (e.g., toileting, feeding, mobility) if required, with appropriate training and supervision.
- Facilitate communication and positive social interactions among students.
- Prepare instructional materials, adapt lessons, and organize learning resources.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development sessions, and training as required.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Demonstrated passion for working with children, especially those with special needs.
