Key Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual consultations with patients via video, audio, and secure messaging.
- Perform comprehensive medical assessments, diagnose conditions, and formulate evidence-based treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications, order diagnostic tests, and provide referrals to specialists as clinically indicated.
- Maintain accurate and thorough electronic medical records (EMRs) in compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
- Provide patient education on health conditions, preventive care, and prescribed treatments.
- Follow up with patients as necessary to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans.
- Adhere strictly to all professional ethical guidelines, privacy regulations (e.g., PHIA, PIPEDA), and company policies.
- Participate in ongoing medical education and professional development activities.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic patient care.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of telemedicine services and protocols.
Required Skills
- Valid medical license in the province of Manitoba (or eligible for licensure)
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited institution
- Certification in Family Medicine (CCFP) or equivalent specialty certification
- Minimum of 2 years of post-residency clinical practice experience
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Excellent diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical practice
- Strong technical aptitude for virtual care platforms and tools
