Job Description

A Tire Technician at Career.zycto’s partner locations plays a crucial role in ensuring vehicle safety and performance for our valued customers across Laval. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform tire installations, rotations, balancing, and repairs on various vehicles.
  • Inspect tires and related components for wear, damage, and proper inflation.
  • Diagnose tire-related issues and recommend appropriate solutions to customers or service advisors.
  • Operate and maintain tire changing, balancing, and repair equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure all work adheres to industry safety standards and company policies.
  • Assist with inventory management of tires and related parts.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Provide excellent customer service and clear communication regarding vehicle needs.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Tire Technician or in a similar automotive role (1 year preferred).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy tires and working in various weather conditions.
  • Knowledge of various tire types, sizes, and applications.
  • Familiarity with tire changing and balancing equipment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and inventory.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Vocational training or certification in automotive mechanics or tire service.
  • Experience with advanced tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS).
  • Bilingual (English and French) communication skills, a strong asset in Montreal.
  • Experience working in a high-volume service center.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
