Based in Mannheim, you will oversee and manage all aspects of drilling activities, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest industry standards. You will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of drilling crews, equipment, and critical resources on site. This includes planning daily activities, conducting pre-job meetings, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress to optimize performance and prevent downtime. Your keen eye for detail will be crucial in inspecting equipment for defects, arranging for timely maintenance and repairs, and ensuring all machinery operates at peak efficiency. Beyond the technical aspects, a significant part of this role involves fostering a strong safety culture. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily drilling operations and personnel on site.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise the maintenance, inspection, and repair of drilling equipment.
- Monitor drilling parameters and operational performance, implementing adjustments as needed.
- Conduct pre-job safety meetings, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Manage and optimize inventory of drilling consumables and spare parts.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to drilling crew members.
- Liaise with project management, engineers, and clients regarding operational progress and challenges.
- Prepare and maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and other documentation.
- Identify and troubleshoot operational problems, implementing effective solutions.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in drilling operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of drilling techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a demanding, fast-paced on-site environment.
