As a Tour Merchandise Seller, you’ll be at the forefront of the fan experience, representing artists and bands by managing and selling their official merchandise at concerts, festivals, and other events. You’ll be part of a dynamic touring crew, traveling extensively and working directly with fans, creating memorable interactions that enhance their event experience. This role demands energy, excellent customer service skills, and a keen eye for detail when handling inventory and sales. You will be responsible for setting up compelling displays, engaging with concert-goers, processing sales efficiently, and accurately reconciling stock at the end of each show. The schedule is demanding but incredibly rewarding, offering a unique opportunity to see different parts of the UK while immersed in the electric atmosphere of live entertainment. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently set up and dismantle merchandise booths at various venues, ensuring attractive and organized displays.
- Actively engage with fans, providing excellent customer service, product information, and a positive brand experience.
- Process cash and card transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Manage inventory, including receiving, counting, and reconciling merchandise stock before, during, and after events.
- Maintain a clean and presentable sales area throughout the duration of each event.
- Adhere to all company policies, venue regulations, and security procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with the touring crew and venue staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide regular sales reports and feedback to the Tour Manager.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales or customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong numerical aptitude for cash handling and inventory management.
- Ability to work long and irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy boxes, and travel frequently.
- Adaptability and problem-solving skills in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- A positive attitude and a passion for music and live events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a merchandise seller on tour or at live events.
- Familiarity with various POS systems.
- Experience working in diverse cultural environments.
- Fluency in additional languages beyond English.
