Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated Tourism Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Pundanhar, Palma. This pivotal role involves orchestrating seamless travel experiences for our clients, from initial inquiry to post-trip follow-up. You will be instrumental in developing and managing local tour packages, coordinating with local service providers such as hotels, transport companies, guides, and activity operators, all while ensuring an exceptional level of customer satisfaction. Your day-to-day will involve a blend of administrative tasks, client communication, logistical planning, and problem-solving, all aimed at delivering memorable journeys through the stunning landscapes and vibrant culture of Mozambique.

As a Tourism Coordinator, you will act as the primary point of contact for clients, advising them on destinations, itineraries, and travel options that align with their interests and budget. You’ll be responsible for booking accommodations, flights, ground transportation, and excursions, as well as preparing all necessary travel documents and itineraries. A strong understanding of the local tourism landscape in Palma and surrounding areas will be crucial for curating authentic and enriching experiences. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, and manage comprehensive tourism packages and itineraries tailored to client needs.
  • Liaise effectively with hotels, resorts, transport providers, local guides, and other suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Handle client inquiries, provide expert advice on destinations, activities, and travel logistics.
  • Process bookings for accommodations, flights, ground transfers, and excursions, ensuring accuracy and timely confirmation.
  • Prepare and distribute detailed travel documents, vouchers, and pre-trip information to clients.
  • Monitor travel arrangements, proactively address any issues or changes, and provide real-time support to travelers.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local attractions, cultural events, and regional tourism trends in Palma and Mozambique.
  • Assist in the development of marketing materials and promotional activities for tourism offerings.
  • Manage budgets and financial transactions related to travel packages.
  • Collect and analyze client feedback to continuously improve service quality and offerings.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in tourism coordination, travel agency operations, or hospitality management.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills in English and Portuguese (verbal and written).
  • Proficiency in using travel booking software, GDS systems, or similar tourism management platforms.
  • Strong geographical knowledge of Mozambique, particularly the Cabo Delgado province and Palma region.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unexpected situations calmly and effectively.
  • Customer-centric approach with a passion for delivering outstanding service.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Additional language proficiency (e.g., Swahili, French, or local Mozambican languages).
