Job Description
Are you a highly organized, enthusiastic, and community-minded individual looking to make a significant impact? The Forest Lawn Community Association (FLCA) is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Training Program Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will play an essential part in supporting the development, coordination, and delivery of our diverse training and development programs across various departments. From volunteer orientation and staff skill-building workshops to community education initiatives, your work will directly contribute to the effectiveness and success of FLCA’s mission.
Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the Training Program Assistant will be instrumental in the administrative and logistical backbone of our training efforts. This includes scheduling, preparing training materials, managing participant registrations, tracking attendance, and assisting with post-training evaluations. You will be the go-to person for ensuring our trainers and participants have everything they need for a seamless and enriching learning experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the scheduling and logistics for all internal and external training programs, workshops, and orientation sessions.
- Prepare, organize, and distribute comprehensive training materials, presentations, and handouts.
- Manage participant registration, attendance tracking, and maintaining accurate training records in our database.
- Provide administrative support to trainers and program coordinators, including room setup, technology assistance, and material preparation.
- Assist in the development and refinement of training content, ensuring materials are current, engaging, and relevant.
- Gather feedback from training participants and assist with post-training evaluations to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, and community members regarding training schedules, requirements, and follow-up.
- Support the onboarding process for new volunteers and staff by facilitating initial training components.
- Maintain an inventory of training resources and supplies, ensuring availability as needed.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive learning environment for all participants.
Required Skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and comfortable with learning new software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to compose clear and concise correspondence.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proactive problem-solver with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A genuine interest in community development and non-profit work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Office Administration, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a training, administrative, or program support role, particularly within a non-profit or educational setting.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or database management.
- Experience working with diverse community populations.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
