Key Responsibilities
- Transcribe audio and video recordings accurately and efficiently into written text, adhering to specific client guidelines and formatting requirements.
- Perform thorough proofreading and editing of transcripts to ensure grammatical correctness, punctuation, spelling, and overall accuracy.
- Identify and clarify inaudible words or phrases, marking them appropriately within the transcript.
- Manage and prioritize multiple transcription projects to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information and content handled.
- Utilize specialized transcription software and tools effectively to enhance productivity and accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with team members and project managers regarding project status, challenges, and completion.
- Continuously improve transcription skills and knowledge of industry-specific terminology.
Required Skills
- Exceptional listening skills and acute attention to detail.
- Proven proficiency in English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Demonstrated ability to type at a minimum of 60 WPM with high accuracy.
- Familiarity with various audio/video formats and transcription software (e.g., Express Scribe, F4/F5).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in legal, medical, or corporate transcription.
- Proficiency in additional languages is an asset.
- Certification in transcription or related field.
