Key Responsibilities
- Assist Translation Project Managers in the day-to-day coordination and management of translation projects.
- Prepare source files for translation, ensuring all linguistic assets (TMs, glossaries) are correctly assigned and utilized.
- Coordinate with in-house and freelance linguists, distributing tasks, monitoring progress, and providing necessary support.
- Perform initial quality assurance checks on translated documents to ensure linguistic accuracy, consistency, and adherence to client guidelines.
- Maintain and update translation memories, terminology glossaries, and style guides.
- Conduct terminology research to ensure proper usage and consistency across projects.
- Support administrative tasks related to translation projects, including scheduling, documentation, and reporting.
- Liaise with clients and internal teams to clarify project requirements and resolve queries.
- Learn and effectively utilize various Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools and project management software.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of translation processes and workflows.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) and Arabic (written and spoken).
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Basic understanding of translation processes and linguistic concepts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving aptitude and ability to multitask effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, Communications, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in a translation support, administrative, or project coordination role.
- Familiarity with CAT tools such as SDL Trados Studio, MemoQ, or similar.
- Knowledge of an additional language (e.g., French, German, Hindi, Urdu).
