Key Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients to understand their travel needs, preferences, and budget, offering tailored travel solutions.
  • Research and book flights, hotels, car rentals, cruises, tours, and other travel components using various booking systems.
  • Develop detailed and engaging travel itineraries for individual and group travelers.
  • Provide expert advice on destinations, visa requirements, travel insurance, currency exchange, and local customs.
  • Manage and process bookings, ensuring accuracy and timely communication with clients and suppliers.
  • Handle amendments, cancellations, and rebookings efficiently, resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of travel industry trends, new destinations, and supplier offerings.
  • Process payments, issue tickets, and provide clients with all necessary travel documentation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators set by the management.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Travel Consultant or similar role in the travel industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of domestic and international travel regulations, visa requirements, and common travel destinations.
  • Proficiency in GDS (Global Distribution Systems) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo, or other major booking platforms.
  • Strong sales and customer service skills with a client-centric approach.
  • Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal abilities.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple bookings simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications

  • A degree or diploma in Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • Fluency in additional languages, particularly French or local Creole.
  • Experience with CRM software for client management.
  • Personal travel experience to a wide range of destinations.
  • Certification from a recognized travel industry association.
