As a Tree Planter, you will be at the forefront of our environmental initiatives, spending your days outdoors, working in various terrains and weather conditions. Your primary responsibility will involve the efficient and careful planting of a diverse range of tree saplings according to specific planting plans and ecological requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently and accurately plant a variety of tree saplings according to project plans and environmental guidelines.
- Prepare planting sites, which may include clearing debris, digging holes, and applying protective measures.
- Handle and transport saplings and equipment carefully to prevent damage.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and procedures on-site.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve daily and weekly planting targets.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
- Monitor planted trees for initial signs of stress or damage and report findings.
- Assist with other forestry-related tasks as required, such as site maintenance or weeding.
- Maintain a high level of environmental awareness and minimize ecological impact during work.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- A genuine interest in forestry, environmental conservation, and outdoor work.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in outdoor manual labour, horticulture, or forestry.
- Basic knowledge of tree species and planting techniques.
- Full UK driving license.
- First Aid certification.
- Awareness of health and safety practices in an outdoor environment.
