Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV Class 1 / C+E) on UK roads, adhering strictly to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Transport various goods, including general freight, refrigerated products, or hazardous materials, across assigned routes throughout the UK.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections (pre-trip and post-trip) and report any mechanical issues or defects promptly.
- Accurately complete all necessary paperwork, including logbooks, delivery notes, and tachograph records, in compliance with UK and EU driving hours regulations.
- Ensure timely and secure delivery of loads, maintaining communication with dispatch and customers as required.
- Adhere to company safety protocols, procedures, and road safety guidelines at all times.
- Assist with loading and unloading of goods where necessary, ensuring cargo is properly secured.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service when interacting with clients and colleagues.
Required Skills
- Valid US Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial truck driving experience.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
