Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate and efficient tyre fitting, removal, and replacement for a variety of vehicles.
  • Conduct puncture repairs according to industry best practices and safety standards.
  • Execute precise wheel balancing and alignment using modern diagnostic equipment.
  • Inspect tyres for wear, damage, and pressure, providing expert advice to customers.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the tyre bay.
  • Assist with stock management of tyres and related components.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, explaining work done and offering recommendations clearly.
  • Operate and maintain workshop equipment, ensuring it is in good working order.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Tyre Fitter in an automotive workshop setting.
  • Proficiency in all aspects of tyre fitting, balancing, and repair.
  • Strong understanding of tyre specifications, brands, and vehicle types.
  • Ability to use relevant tools and machinery safely and effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A valid UK Driving Licence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent.
  • Experience with commercial or specialist vehicle tyres.
  • Certification in wheel alignment or advanced balancing techniques.
  • Knowledge of current automotive health and safety regulations.
