Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, rotate, repair, and replace tyres on a variety of vehicles, including cars, light trucks, and SUVs.
- Perform wheel balancing and alignments using specialized equipment.
- Diagnose tyre wear patterns and recommend appropriate solutions to customers.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures for tyre service.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Operate and maintain tyre changing and balancing machines accurately.
- Assist in inventory management of tyres and related parts.
- Provide excellent customer service by clearly explaining services performed and recommended.
- Handle various types of tyres, including winter, all-season, and performance tyres.
- Conduct pre-inspection checks to identify potential issues beyond tyres.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Tyre Fitter or Automotive Technician with significant tyre-specific experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of vehicle suspension and steering components.
- Ability to operate tyre changing, balancing, and alignment equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
- Commitment to safety protocols and quality workmanship.
- Basic computer proficiency for record-keeping.
