Career.zycto is seeking a driven and creative Entry Level UI/UX Designer to join our growing team in Gander, Newfoundland. As an Entry Level UI/UX Designer, you will work closely with our experienced design leads, product managers, and development teams to understand user needs, translate them into intuitive designs, and bring innovative solutions to life. You’ll be involved in various stages of the design process, from conducting preliminary research and creating wireframes to developing high-fidelity prototypes and participating in user testing sessions. We are looking for someone with a strong foundational understanding of design principles, a keen eye for aesthetics, and a genuine curiosity about how users interact with digital products.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in user research activities, including surveys, interviews, and usability testing.
- Develop wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Create high-fidelity mockups and prototypes for web and mobile applications using design tools.
- Collaborate with senior designers and developers to ensure design integrity and technical feasibility.
- Participate in design critiques, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
- Maintain and contribute to design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across products.
- Stay updated with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies.
Required Skills
- Basic proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Fundamental understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to create clean, intuitive, and visually appealing designs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- A portfolio showcasing academic or personal UI/UX projects.
- Ability to articulate design choices and rationale.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with motion graphics or animation for UI elements.
- Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus but not required.
