Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and synthesize existing research findings.
- Assist in the design and implementation of research methodologies, including surveys, experiments, and interviews.
- Collect, organize, and manage research data, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity.
- Perform preliminary data analysis using appropriate statistical software or qualitative methods, under supervision.
- Contribute to the drafting and editing of research reports, academic papers, presentations, and grant proposals.
- Maintain meticulous records of all research activities, data, and findings.
- Assist in preparing materials for research ethics board applications and ensuring strict compliance with ethical guidelines.
- Organize and actively participate in research team meetings, workshops, and seminars.
- Support faculty in preparing teaching materials or presentations related to ongoing research findings.
- Manage research-related administrative tasks, including scheduling, procurement of resources, and communication with project partners and stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Science, Engineering, Social Sciences, Agriculture, Business).
- Demonstrated strong academic record, typically a minimum of a Second Class Honours (Upper Division).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in basic research methods and data collection techniques.
- Ability to conduct thorough and systematic literature reviews.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, coupled with effective problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for document preparation and data management.
- High level of attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proactive attitude, eager to learn new research techniques, software, and disciplinary knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications
