Key Responsibilities

  • Assess vehicle body damage accurately and create detailed repair plans.
  • Perform panel beating, dent removal, and structural realignments using specialized tools and equipment.
  • Execute welding, cutting, and fabrication tasks to repair or replace damaged body sections.
  • Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting, including sanding, priming, and masking.
  • Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
  • Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure high standards of finish and functionality.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with paint technicians, mechanics, and service advisors.
  • Keep accurate records of all repair work performed and parts used.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in panel beating, dent removal, and welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Spot welding).
  • Strong understanding of vehicle body construction and repair methodologies.
  • Ability to operate various body repair tools and equipment, including frame straighteners.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for quality finishes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose complex damage.
