Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, suspension, and braking systems.
- Execute repairs and replacements of various automotive components in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex vehicle issues.
- Clearly document all repair work performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding vehicle status, repair recommendations, and estimated completion times.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Stay current with automotive technology and repair techniques through continuous training and self-study.
- Assist in quality control checks to ensure all repairs meet high standards before vehicle delivery.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Repair Specialist or similar role
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures for various makes and models
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment (e.g., scan tools, multimeters)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written) in English or French
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant trade certification (e.g., Red Seal certification in Automotive Service Technician)
- Experience with specialized repair software and electronic service manuals
- Bilingualism (English and French)
- ASE certifications or equivalent
