Job Description

Are you brimming with enthusiasm, a keen eye for unique treasures, and a desire to kickstart your career in a dynamic retail environment? Career.zycto is thrilled to partner with a beloved independent vintage boutique located in the charming Ravelston area of Edinburgh, searching for a passionate and dedicated Vintage Shop Assistant. This is an unparalleled opportunity for someone with no prior experience to step into the exciting world of retail, learn the ropes from the ground up, and contribute to a vibrant community. If you love discovering hidden gems, appreciate sustainable fashion, and enjoy connecting with people, this role is perfect for you.

As a Vintage Shop Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of our client’s boutique, helping to create an inviting and inspiring atmosphere for every customer. We believe that a passion for vintage items and a genuine willingness to learn are far more valuable than a lengthy CV. You’ll be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure the smooth operation of the shop, from assisting customers with their finds to maintaining the distinctive visual appeal of our unique collection. This role offers incredible flexibility, making it ideal for students, individuals re-entering the workforce, or anyone looking for a part-time position that fits their lifestyle.

You’ll have the chance to develop essential retail skills, including exceptional customer service, merchandising, inventory management, and sales techniques. Imagine spending your days surrounded by beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces, helping customers unearth their next favourite outfit or home decor item, and sharing your growing knowledge of vintage trends and history. Our client is committed to providing comprehensive training and a supportive environment where you can flourish. This isn’t just a job; it’s an entry point into a rewarding career where your unique personality and dedication can truly shine. Join us and become an integral part of a cherished local business, bringing sustainable style and history to life in Ravelston.
