Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload incoming and outgoing delivery trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure stacking.
- Sort and accurately place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined organizational standards and inventory procedures.
- Assist in counting, weighing, and meticulously checking incoming and outgoing items for accuracy against invoices, manifestos, or other records.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as manual pallet jacks and hand trucks in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all operational guidelines.
- Prepare customer orders for shipment by accurately picking, packing, and labeling products to ensure correct delivery.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized work environment, strictly adhering to all company safety regulations and health policies.
- Promptly report any discrepancies, damages to goods, or potential safety hazards to supervisors to ensure corrective action.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth workflow, efficient operations, and timely completion of all tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support overall warehouse operations and achieve organizational goals.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and strength to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25kg regularly and 50kg occasionally with assistance).
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods in a warehouse environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in tasks such as counting and sorting.
- Demonstrated strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading labels, checking quantities, and understanding instructions.
- Commitment to adhering strictly to all safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and workloads.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6+ months) in a warehouse, logistics, or similar loading/unloading role.
- Familiarity with operating manual pallet jacks or other basic material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of basic inventory management principles and warehouse best practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent secondary education certificate.
