As a Warehouse Loader, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement of goods through our facility. Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload incoming and outgoing materials and products by hand or with the aid of basic material handling equipment.
- Inspect materials for damage or discrepancies, reporting any issues immediately to supervisors.
- Accurately sort, organize, and store items in designated warehouse locations, ensuring efficient use of space.
- Assist with preparing orders for shipment, including picking, packing, labeling, and staging goods.
- Operate pallet jacks and hand trucks in a safe and efficient manner (training provided).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock rotation as required.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
- Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy items regularly (up to 50 lbs) throughout a shift.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures and a commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Physical stamina, manual dexterity, and the ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a physically demanding role or a warehouse setting (even if not specific to loading/unloading).
- Familiarity with basic warehouse equipment like pallet jacks or hand trucks.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- First Aid certification is a plus.
