Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently load and unload freight by hand or by using manual/powered material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, if certified).
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage, quantity accuracy, and proper labeling.
- Safely stack and organize products in designated warehouse locations, ensuring optimal space utilization.
- Prepare orders for shipment, including picking, packing, wrapping, and labeling according to company standards.
- Operate warehouse equipment in a safe and responsible manner, performing pre-shift inspections as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and meet daily operational goals.
- Accurately complete all necessary paperwork and documentation related to freight movement and inventory.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly and perform repetitive tasks.
- Strong physical stamina and endurance.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods and documentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Basic mathematical skills to count and verify inventory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6+ months) in a warehouse, shipping, or logistics role.
- Valid forklift certification and experience operating various material handling equipment.
