Key Responsibilities
- Manually load and unload various types of goods, including parcels, boxes, and larger items, from trucks, containers, and pallets.
- Organise and stack products securely and systematically in designated warehouse locations, ensuring optimal space utilisation and accessibility.
- Safely operate basic manual warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks (full training provided), to move goods efficiently.
- Perform regular visual checks on incoming and outgoing inventory for any signs of damage, discrepancies, or missing items, reporting issues promptly.
- Assist with a wide range of general warehouse duties, including maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the work area, sweeping, and waste disposal.
- Adhere strictly to all company health, safety, and operational guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Collaborate effectively and communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and truck drivers to ensure a smooth and continuous workflow.
- Prepare goods for dispatch by accurately labelling, wrapping, and packaging them according to specific instructions and quality standards.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including repetitive lifting, bending, and carrying items weighing up to 25kg.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality are essential for maintaining operational efficiency.
