This is a critical role responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of goods within our warehouse facilities, supporting the seamless flow of our extensive logistics operations. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to company standards and customer specifications.
- Receive, unload, and store incoming inventory efficiently and safely, verifying quantities and checking for damages.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse in a neat, orderly, and accessible manner, ensuring optimal use of space.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely (training provided if necessary).
- Perform routine quality checks on goods and packaging to ensure products meet required standards.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed, contributing to accurate stock management.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and procedures, promoting a secure working environment.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational targets and deadlines.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the work area and assist with general warehouse upkeep.
- Be available for shift work, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as per operational requirements.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent (CXC/CSEC passes preferred).
- Proven ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Willingness and flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar industrial environment.
- Knowledge of basic inventory management principles.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Valid driver's license.
